Hurt Heroes (Gay Erotic Romance Stories)

Deadline: April 30, 2016
Payment: 50% net royalties from all channels, to be paid quarterly
Contract: 2 years exclusive, auto-renews

Whether he’s fighting for his country, arresting criminals, putting out fires, or transporting the sick to the hospital, there’s nothing sexier than a man in uniform. But what happens when one of these heroes is hurt in the line of duty? Who does he turn to for solace? Who comforts him?

Maybe he’s a soldier returning home after a prolonged deployment overseas and falls for the therapist assigned to help him deal with his PTSD. Or he’s a cop who works the streets of New York with his best buddy, and it takes a bullet’s near miss to put their relationship into perspective. Or he’s a fireman who rushes into a burning building without thinking of himself only to save the man of his dreams.

We’re looking for sweet and sexy romance and erotic romance stories for our new Hurt Heroes series. These tales must be about heroic men who put their lives on the line every day — soldiers, policemen, firemen, rescue workers, EMTs — who find love when they’re wounded while protecting others. From harmless, sweet flirting to fulfilling hot sex, these stories must bring together two men who meet when one is hurt or injured and end happily.

These stories will not be released as an anthology, but rather as individual e-books. Each will have a unique cover with a similar theme that will tie them together. Our goal is to begin releasing them as soon as quality submissions begin coming in. There is no upfront payment; authors will be paid quarterly on actual sales earned. If you haven’t published with us before, feel free to request a sample contract prior to submission.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Stories must be between 12,000 and 20,000 words
Stories must contain a romance — any heat level, from sweet to erotic
Romantic pairing must be MM or MMM ONLY
Stories must involve men who find love when they are wounded in the line of duty (military, police, firemen, etc.)
Stories may be any subgenre (contemporary, historical, western, paranormal, etc)
Stories must have a HEA or HFN ending
Adult stories only (no YA)

    Summer Lovin’

(Gay Erotic Romance Short Stories)

Deadline: May 31, 2016
Payment: 50% net royalties from all channels, to be paid quarterly
Contract: 2 years exclusive, nonrenewable (current authors already published with us may request our standard renewable contract)

There’s nothing quite as magical as falling in love in the summertime. Maybe it’s the way the heat shimmers off oiled muscles, or all that tanned skin exposed by barely-there Speedos and short shorts. Or the feel of a warm T-shirt stretched tightly across firm abs.

The days seem to last forever and the nights are twice as long. Whether the summer is a time for passions that have simmered all winter long to finally boil over, or a chance to find new love on vacation, we want to hear about it!

We are looking for short, sexy M/M romance and erotic romance stories for our new Summer Lovin’ series. These stories must be about men who find love and lust all summer long, whether it’s at the beach or at the pool, at a cookout or at the park, on vacation or working at an amusement park, wherever two guys connect in the heat of the summer. From sweet harmless flirting to fulfilling hot sex, show us just how hot the summer can get!

Like our popular Men at Work series, the ebooks will all share a similar cover and be released during the summer months of 2016, starting in June. They will NOT be released as an anthology, and there is no upfront payment; authors will be paid quarterly on actual sales earned. If you haven’t published with us before, feel free to request a sample contract prior to submission.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

Stories must be between 5,000 and 11,900 words
Stories must contain a romance — any heat level, from sweet to erotic
Romantic pairing must be MM or MMM ONLY
Stories must involve men finding love during the summer
Stories may be any subgenre (contemporary, historical, western, paranormal, etc)
Stories must have a HEA or HFN ending
Adult stories only (no YA)

    SPECIAL SUBMISSIONS CALL

Deadline: Ongoing through July 31, 2016

Payment: Standard contract terms (50% net royalties from all channels)

We are looking for LGBT romance and erotic romance stories for three new lines. These will be released at least once a month on a rolling schedule as manuscripts are accepted.

DADDY DEAREST:
There’s no denying it — daddies are hot! We aren’t talking bears here; we’re looking for stories about dads with young kids who need a husband to make them complete. Or maybe he doesn’t think Mr. Right wants someone who comes with a diaper bag and sippy cups in tow. Maybe the man of his dreams turns out to be his new male nanny? However your father figure finds true love, we want to read about it! Show us how Daddy Dearest introduces his new boyfriend to his children. Will they be able somehow to form a family?

BACKUP BUDDIES:
When your life’s on the line, who has your back? For policemen, FBI agents, detectives, and firemen, etc., there is no one they trust more than their buddy, their partner, the one person on whom they depend. What happens when that partnership deepens into something more? Show us — take it beyond the mean streets and flashing lights, into the bedroom or the darkened alleyway. What happens in the long hours of a stakeout? Or late at night in a shared hotel room while on assignment? These men might project a strong, tough guy image to the world, but how tender can be with each other?

ANIMAL MAGNETISM:
Animals can be a great judge of character, and sometimes they know before we do whether or not someone is perfect for us. We want stories about man’s best friend playing matchmaker — not just dogs, but cats, horses, goats, birds, any kind of animal that might help break the ice between two lonely hearts looking for love. Or maybe they weren’t looking, but Fluffy or Fido knows better. A rider’s horse throws a shoe every time a sexy farrier is visiting the stable. A cat gets stuck in a tree, and his owner falls for the hunky fireman who shows up to rescue him. A stray dog on the side of the highway brings together a concerned motorist and a state policeman. How are these men drawn together because of their love of animals?

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Individual stories in each line will have a unique cover with a similar theme to tie them together. Stories over 40,000 words that sell more than 50 copies in electronic format will also be released in paperback.

For each line:

Stories must be between 20,000 to 60,000 words
Stories must contain a romance — any heat level, from sweet to erotic
Romantic relationship must be MM, MMM, or MMF
Stories must have a HEA or HFN ending
Stories can be any sub-genre (contemporary, historical, paranormal, futuristic, etc.)
Adult stories only (no YA)

All stories submitted must adhere to the general guidelines found on our website. We do not consider multiple or simultaneous submissions. Reprints will be considered only if the author holds exclusive rights to republish.

HOW TO SUBMIT:

Send a blurb and the full manuscript to submissions@jms-books.com with the title of your story in the subject line. Include any author credentials you may have.

We will respond to your email within 2 business days.

Some stories need to be told, but they cross lines that are sometimes mottled and difficult to discern. Everyone has their own style, and we want to read your tales that cross typical societal lines. Those stories considered ‘taboo’ or ‘fetish’ may be exactly what we’re looking for. Do your characters have a kink that doesn’t fit elsewhere? This line can be any pairing het or GLBTQ. This might be the right home for them. Fully-realized plot required; happily-ever-after/happily-for-now not essential. *While we have no ‘hard limits’ at this time, some stories might be too much for us. Fully-realized plot required; happily-ever-after or strong happily-for-now required with M/F couple. SHORT STORY SUBMISSION CALL

Men at Work (Gay Erotic Romance Short Stories)
NOTE: This isn’t an anthology; the stories will only be released as individual ebooks.

Publisher: JMS Books LLC

Deadline: February 29, 2016

Payment: 50% net royalties from all channels, to be paid quarterly

Contract: 2 years exclusive, nonrenewable (current authors already published with us may request our standard renewable contract) quarterly

Many of us spend forty hours or more a week at the workplace. Shuffling papers at a desk job, taking orders, waiting tables, working in the field, punching a time clock. Whether it’s a career or simply a job to be done, we do whatever it takes to make a living. Sometimes the people we meet at work are among the best — and the worst — we’ll ever know.

We are looking for short, sexy gay romance and erotic romance stories for our new Men at Work short story line. These stories must be about men who find love and lust in the workplace, whether it’s in the office, on the ranch, at a construction site, or wherever they draw a paycheck. From harmless, sweet flirting to fulfilling hot sex, show us just how much some men enjoy their line of work.

Like our popular Stocking Stuffers, the ebooks will all share a similar cover and be released throughout 2016, hopefully starting as early as January. They will NOT be released as an anthology, and there is no upfront payment; authors will be paid quarterly on actual sales earned. If you haven’t published with us before, feel free to request a sample contract prior to submission.

  • Stories must be between 5,000 to 10,000 words
  • Stories must contain a romance — any heat level, from sweet to erotic

  • Stories may be any subgenre (contemporary, historical, western, paranormal, etc)

NOVELLA SUBMISSIONS CALL (3 THEMES)

  • Stories must be between 20,000 to 60,000 words
  • Stories must contain a romance — any heat level, from sweet to erotic
  • Romantic relationship must be MM, MMM, or MMF
  • Stories must have a HEA or HFN ending
  • Stories can be any sub-genre (contemporary, historical, paranormal, futuristic, etc.)
  • Adult stories only (no YA)

HOW TO SUBMIT:

All stories submitted must adhere to the general guidelines found on our website here. We do not consider multiple or simultaneous submissions.

Send your submission to submissions@jms-books.com with the name of the line and the title of your story in the subject line.

Totally Bound Publishing has an update!

Our flagship publishing house, Totally Bound Publishing, has been offering Erotic Romance books for eight years, working with more than 400 authors, and releasing six – nine books per week. We are a leader of erotic romance fiction in Europe and intend to keep expanding on that. Totally Bound Publishing will always be the Home of Erotic Romance and continue to publish the best quality Erotic Romance Fiction. 2015 sees the birth of three new publishing houses: Finch Books, Pride Publishing and Evidence Press, diversifying and expanding the group.

Our plan is to launch each house in fairly quick succession during the year, starting with Pride Publishing with a hopeful date of February/March. The main reason for this is to separate out our gay fiction from Totally Bound, leaving that to focus on hetero books and allow Pride Publishing to develop gay fiction more fully.

Finch Books will be our Young Adult division and we anticipate a launch late Spring of 2015. Evidence Press will be our Crime & Thriller publishing house and we anticipate a launch in the Autumn of 2015.

If you are interested in writing for these new and exciting publishing houses, please check out the submission calls on our website. For a taster, here’s our Pride Publishing submission call;

Pride Publishing submission call

Guidelines:

• Pride Publishing is currently acquiring fabulous gay fiction from new and existing authors. All genres considered.

• There was, once upon a time, a notion that fiction more often than not had to include a hero and heroine at the center of it. Times have changed. This is the revolution, this is where we stand proud to say that gay fiction now has an independent place to call home, and this is your chance to become a part of it.

• 10 – 100k word count per story.

Please send your full manuscripts to submissions@totallyentwined.com with the header Pride Publishing Submission along with a synopsis in the first instance. We look forward to hearing from you.
