Title: Love in Retrograde

Characters: Kelly Sutton, Mars
POV: 3rd Limited
Sub-Genre: Science Fiction, Romance
Kisses: 4.5

Enthusiastic, play-it-safe Kelly Sutton is an American intern at the Photonic Royal Society in New London. He’s been working on Project Mars for over a year, a mission kept so secret by the society even Kelly doesn’t know exactly what it is. What Kelly does know is his contribution to the task will benefit mankind, and that’s enough for him.

Kelly’s world turns upside down when concerns over his mentor’s behavior lead Kelly to investigate and stumble upon a wicked truth. What is supposed to be a project to advance human life turns out to be an endeavor capable of mass destruction. The terrifying reality forces Kelly to choose between looking the other way to keep his job, as he’s always done, or risking his career and even his life to do the right thing by saving the man who’s captured his heart.

Wow! From the very beginning to the end, Love in Retrograde is a romantic thrill ride that kept this reader on the edge of her seat. Between the fast-paced storyline, the romance between Kelly and Mars and the action packed ending, this short story is a deeply satisfying read.

This is going to be a hard book to review because I don’t want to give anything away, so forgive me if I become a little evasive with my review.

For over a year Kelly’s life has been wrapped up in his work. As an intern, he works long hours and don’t have much of a life outside of job. Kelly works on a top-secret project, but though he’s a part of it, Kelly is still clueless when it comes to the true heart of the project. When he is approached to delve deeper into the project and all secrets are revealed to him, Kelly’s life and view of what he has known to be comes into question.

What I really liked about this book was the deep relationship that developed between Kelly and Mars. From the moment they meet, sparks fly between them and as Kelly and Mars continue to get to know each other, they both learn some hard lessons about life and beautiful lessons about truly falling in love.

All I can say is read this book. Any fan of both science fiction and suspenseful novels will adore this story and this couple as much as I did. Love is Retrograde is an easy book to recommend and I know it will be one I’ll read again when I’m in the mood for a stunningly lovely romance between two people who a clearly meant to be together.

Highly Recommended!
