Aaron Loreto can’t lay claim to being anything as sexy as a werewolf or bearman. Once in a blue moon, he turns into a raccoon. With the predatory members of the shifter community looking down at him like he does actually spend his days rummaging through the trash, he prefers to keep his condition private.

When he meets Philip MacRory, Aaron falls head over heels. Philip is hot, sweet, and open-minded about shifters. Given his past experiences, Aaron’s still terrified to come out… until a night of passion with Philip shows that Aaron’s not the only one keeping secrets.

Love Unmasked is a sweet and humorous short story that had me guessing what was going to happen next.

Because Aaron has been ridiculed for being a raccoon shifter, he has a tendency to not share his other self with anyone. Since he had a very bad experience with an ex-boyfriend, Aaron is gun shy at meeting other men due to his fear of their reaction to his raccoon. Enter Philip, who is everything Aaron admires about a man and Aaron finds himself in a quarry of what to do. Philip’s sweet nature and utter sexiness call to Aaron’s heart, but Aaron must get past his fear of being rejected if he wants anything special to work between them.

Love Unmasked is a little gem of a short story that will leave you with a smile on your face. I thought Aaron and Philip were great together and LOVED how they really adored and appreciated each other. If you are looking for a short read that is both satisfying and well, just all around a cute and cuddly read, then this book is definitely for you.
