Blurb:

Vampire prince, Valentin, wants the beautiful blood slave, Sebastian for himself, but when he frees him, danger comes from those who don’t want to let Sebastian go.

Three years ago, Sebastian Beaumont, was starving and struggling on the streets. An offer for safety and shelter was nothing but the lies of a vampire. Since then, he’s been trapped, surrendering his blood and body as a blood slave to vampires, all for the hope of gaining one more day of life and maybe, someday, his freedom. Having crossed more than three hundred years of life, Valentin Wyndham, is a prince among vampires. Memories of betrayal still haunt him and love isn’t something he seeks. When his need for blood becomes too strong, he breaks his usual habits and visits a blood house. Though he tries to resist, he can’t help but be captivated by the beautiful Sebastian. Unable to deny the intensity between them, Valentin frees Sebastian from the blood house, but danger follows them both from those who don’t want to let Sebastian go.

Review:

As you probably already know, I read a lot of books and most of them are paranormal stories. Many of them follow the same well-loved formula, but when I began Vampire Prince by SJ Frost, I was immediately taken into these characters’ lives and the unique and highly addictive story they had to tell. I’ve read several books by SJ Frost and I’ve enjoyed them all. She writes characters that truly live and breathe off of the written page.

The intense, emotional connection shared between Sebastian and Valentin is the driving force within this story. From the first moment they meet, until the last page, I found myself fascinated with their story. Sebastian has been a blood slave for several years. He’s lost his freedom and is beginning to lose the will to continue living on the mercy of others. When he meets Valentin, Sebastian is shocked by the gentle way Valentin treats him. The vampire is considerate and kind and sexy as hell, and despite the cold-cruelty he has experienced by other vampires, there is something about Valentin that really begins to pull at Sebastian’s heart and mind.

I truly loved watching these two men discover love, friendship and respect with one another. As the story progressed, there was no doubt that they truly were meant to be with one another. Although the romance is the strong focal point in the story, I was also enthralled with the secondary characters and how they became almost as important in the story as the main characters were in this book.

Between the fast-paced story-line and the amazing relationship between Sebastian, Valentin and their friends, Vampire Prince is one of my favorite books I’ve read in a long time. SJ Frost has created a beautifully written romance that will live long within my heart long after I finished reading the book. I can’t wait for her to continue this series and highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a romantically driven story between two men who are so easy to fall in love with.

Highly Recommended!
