Blurb:

Just a little love bite: When the monster comes out of the dark…sometimes he eats you up in every way you love.

Peter has lived with vampires for almost two decades, ever since his own parents were killed in a house fire, and he considers himself pretty knowledgeable about paranormals. Stopping for a cup of coffee in a diner, Peter finds himself turned on by the steady stare of a big Italian. When he makes a pit-stop at the diner’s bathroom, he doesn’t expect a hook-up. That’s exactly what Peter gets…and he also learns he doesn’t know as much about paranormals as he thinks he does. His new lover, Balthazar, is a demon who is coming up on his one thousandth birthday. He kidnaps Peter, claiming him as his amina, his soul, a reward from the Gods for doing his job well for a thousand years. Except, Balthazar’s job is sucking out the souls of the living and delivering them to Death. If Peter can get past the stigma of being bonded with a soulless demon, can Balthazar keep him safe from whoever is sending minions hell-bent on keeping them apart—not to mention Peter’s meddling vampire friends—long enough for their bond to seal?

Review:

As a reader, one of the things I really appreciate about Ms. Richard’s stories are her creative storylines and ability to write interesting characters that I easily become invested with. There was also a real unique spin on demons and the role they play when it comes to humans, paranormal beings and even death. I quickly found myself becoming fascinated by these characters, their love and how they would intertwine their lives together.

Peter is a human who has lived among vampires. Because of this, he has a unique perspective on paranormal beings and life in general. When he meets Balthazar he is immediately intrigued by him and even when Balthazar reveals that he is a demon, Peter is a little fearful, but cannot help the strong attraction he has for him.

The moment Balthazar spot Peter, he immediately knows that he is a gift. After a thousand years of humble service, demons are granted the gift of finding their amina who will be their soul mate. Their amina must willing give them half of their soul to make their bond complete. Lucky for Balthazar, Peter too feels the deep connection between them and wants to explore the emotional depths they begin to form between them.

But things aren’t always as they seem and don’t go as smoothly as they wish. There are forces that would like them to not fully bond, and both Balthazar and Peter’s life together is threatened because of it. Together, they must trust the budding feelings they share between them if they want to share an eternity together.

I do wish the book had been longer. I would have liked for the two men to really have some quality time together, but since this is a series, I hope we will be able to revisit this couple again. I would really love to see how well they adapt to their lives together.

There honestly hasn’t been a book written by Charlie Richards that I haven’t enjoyed. Between the fast-paced storyline and intriguing, sexy heroes her books always deliver a satisfying romantic read.

Sharing a Demon’s Bond is the fifth book in the Loving Nip series. Although the book could be read as a stand-alone in the series, I do recommend reading these books in series order. This way you’ll really be able to fully experience the interesting world building and sexy characters Ms. Richards’ creates.

The Loving Nip books in series order are:

A Nip of Good Cheer
A Rose for Paul’s Protector
An Unforgettable Bite
More than Patient
Sharing a Demon’s Bond

Highly Recommended!
