When Jerry Peterson’s brother Mike begs for help in paying off a Las Vegas gambling debt, Jerry reluctantly travels to the city he loathes. Things are even worse than he expected—his brother is being held hostage until the debt is paid. Taylor Maitland is in Vegas writing an article on compulsive gambling, an addiction his father was unable to free himself from. When the two men meet, Taylor offers to help Jerry locate his brother and negotiate with the captors. Despite the series of violent events that screw up their plans and have them dogged by two homicidal thugs, Jerry and Taylor are drawn together by their mutual attraction for one another, even finding time in between narrow escapes, to indulge in some hot man lovin’!

I jumped at the opportunity to read and review Dumping Las Vegas by JP Bowie. I’ve read several books by this author and know when I read his books, I’m always in for a treat. Dumping Las Vegas is an erotic thrill-ride full of action, angst and sex between two very interesting men.

Jerry has to bail out his brother *again* on a huge gambling debt that he has no way to pay. Afraid for his brother’s life Jerry is just about willing to do anything to keep his brother safe. The one thing I did like about Jerry was his dedication to his family…especially his brother. Having said this, there were times I wanted Jerry to let Mike deal with his own consequences and stop enabling him. When Jerry meets Taylor, there is an immediate fire that burns between them. As soon as Jerry finds out the connection Taylor has with Mike and the fact Taylor is willing to help him out, things definitely take an interesting turn…for both of them.

What I liked about this book was the suspense of what was going to happen next. There are many twists and turns that made Dumping Las Vegas a nail biting read. I loved the crazy situations they found themselves in and I enjoyed seeing how everything was going to work out. There is a lot going on in this story, so there’s never a dull moment or a time that it lags at all. In fact, there were times I did wish things would slow down a tad.

I really liked the two men together. They have a strong physical chemistry that sizzles off of the written page. Also, I liked how they truly began to open up to each other and begin to connect on a deep emotional level. Since the book is in first person-like Jerry, we learn about Taylor as he does. I liked how they seemed to fit together very nicely and in the end, I couldn’t keep from hoping they’d get the happy ending they deserve.

Leaving Las Vegas by JP Bowie is a sexy romp of a story that will leave you with a smile on your face. I’m anxious to read the next book in the series and see what happens next. If you are looking for a fast-paced, sexy read this is definitely a good choice for you on a lazy summer’s day.
