Title: All Kinds of Tied Down
Author: Mary Calmes
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Ian has always resisted being tied down. His partner, Miro, just has to convince him that getting
tangled up in heartstrings isn’t so bad.
Deputy US Marshal Miro Jones has a reputation for being calm and collected under fire. These traits serve him well with his hotshot partner, Ian Doyle, the kind of guy who can start a fight in an empty room. In the past three years of their life-and-death job, they’ve gone from strangers to professional coworkers to devoted teammates and best friends. Miro’s cultivated blind faith in the man who has his back… faith and something more.
As a marshal and a soldier, Ian’s expected to lead. But the power and control that brings Ian success and fulfillment in the field isn’t working anywhere else. Ian’s always resisted all kinds of tied down, but having no home—and no one to come home to—is slowly eating him up inside. Over time, Ian has grudgingly accepted that going anywhere without his partner simply doesn’t work. Now Miro just has to convince him that getting tangled up in heartstrings isn’t being tied
down at all.
You can’t go wrong with this book! The story begins with two hot marshals, Miro and Ian. They are partners at work and inseparable at all other times. The only time they spend apart is when Ian who is also a Green Beret in the reserves. Because of the secrecy of this job, he is often called to serve without notice at any given time.
Miro knows he has feelings for his straight partner. Ian makes it even more difficult for him by always being in his personal space and needing to touch Miro often. Miro tells himself this is just what partners do together, and although this affection is hard on his heart at times, he wouldn’t give it up for anything.
When these two finally come together it is explosive and damn sexy! Who knew Ian could be that vulnerable?!
I fell in love with these two alpha men, and adored seeing how absolutely perfect they are for each other!
To make things even more intriguing Mary Calmes also brings Sam Kage in for a few cameos. She knows we can never get enough of him and it was nice to see him in his role of boss to Miro and Ian and the rest of his team.
I can only hope this is the first in a new series, there were a few loose threads I would like to see tied up in another story. There is a serial killer Hartley, who was so confident he would see Miro again outside of prison, and I would also love to see Sam and Jory’s party that was mentioned *HINT HINT*
I highly and easily recommend All Kinds of Tied Down by Mary Calmes. If it is a first for you by this author, and you would like to know more about Sam Kage and his family you can catch his story in the ‘ A Matter of Time ‘ series. BUT be warned you will be hooked on Sam, Jory and everyone else their lives touch. I know I am and I enjoy everything this extremely talented storyteller writes.
