Title: Unearthing Cole
Author: A.M. Arthur
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Cole Alston swore he’d never return to his childhood home in rural North Carolina, but when his mother dies, he inherits her hoarded property. He hopes to sell everything and use the money to start over in Canada, far away from his abusive ex-boyfriend. It’s a daunting task, and Cole has no idea where to start. Luckily for him, the local antique store owner, Jeremy Collins, volunteers his services in sorting the hoard. Their professional relationship soon evolves into a personal one, but Cole must overcome his past and his anxiety before he can accept a new man in his life or the possibility of a happy future.
As the blurb tells us, Cole has gone back to his home town after the death of his estranged mother. He has been on the run from his abusive ex-boyfriend but he is broke. Cole needs to take care of his mom’s house and go through her stuff that she’s been hoarding for years.
Jeremy is an antiques dealer who has offered to help Cole with going through everything with him.
I loved these two men together and I loved seeing Jeremy slowly bring Cole out of his shell.
A.M. Arthur has done a great job of showing us in a believable way that you can survive, and go on with your life, and even fall in love after severe abuse.
I easily recommend this book. If you haven’t read any of A.M Arthur’s work, please look up her books because they will be worth adding to your library.
