Title: Stranded, Book 2: Taken
Author: Andrew Grey
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Gay/ Mystery/ Suspense
On the day he and Roman Capenelli were to be married, Malik Stevens wakes up in a small room with very little light. Time must be passing, because a door opens from time to time and food is left for him- that’s his only connection to the outside world. Roman is a choreographer on Broadway and he’s waiting for Malik at the park with all their friends, waiting to start their wedding ceremony, when Malik doesn’t show up, Roman is nearly heartbroken thinking he has been left at the alter. But soon he understands Malik hasn’t stood him up, he’s been Taken.
Desperate and determined, Roman begins searching for clues to aid the police. Then, when Malik escapes, the couple continues the search until they ferret out the culprit, and in the process open up a box of
secrets. An orphan who grew up in a foster home, Malik knows his father was a serial killer and his mother died of grief and shame after his father was convicted. Now it seems some of his parents’ skeletons still hang in the family closet. But was Malik’s kidnapping meant to uncover those secrets or to hide them forever?
Malik is taken on his wedding day and he has no idea why.
While locked in a cold, dark room all he has is his memories of the love he shares with Roman, and the demons of his childhood.
Roman is devastated when Malik doesn’t show up for the wedding and at first lets his fears and insecurities take over, but when he can think properly he realizes something is wrong and Malik would never do this to him.
When Malik is rescued and reunited with Roman they try to figure out who could do this and why?
Andrew Grey knows how to build the mystery and suspense, and how to write a true love story, I love the characters of Malik and Roman, you truly see the love and romance between these two, if you read Stranded the first book in this two part series you will love seeing Kendall and Johnny again, I like seeing the romances that spring up from those trying to protect these two.
I highly recommend Taken and please consider adding the Stranded series to your library also.
My library has many of Andrew Grey’s books and I look forward to adding many more.
