Suffocation, mutilation and dismemberment aren’t the normal outside influences that bring two people together, but inside the newly refurbished Alcatraz Prison, anything can happen.

Inmates begin dying in shocking and sometimes gruesome ways. The deaths prompt Warden Jensen Black to bring in sexy para psychologist, Brian Phipps. With the help of Brian, Jensen hopes to get to the bottom of what is killing the men he is responsible for. What he didn’t count on was falling and falling hard for the smaller man with the heart of a lion. The attraction between the two men is instantaneous, but before they could fully explore the depths of their passion, the ghosts set their sight on Brian. As their relationship begins to heat up, the danger escalates, leaving both men to wonder if they’ll ever make it off Alcatraz alive.

I found this book so different from any Carol Lynne book I have read before. I love Jensen and Brian as a couple was a little surprised at the love at first sight, but it didn’t take me long to see these two men are just perfect for each other.

There are some scary, crazy things going on at Alcatraz; Inmates dying alone in their cells in really strange ways, Brian trying to figure out why Alcatraz would be haunted and being distracted by the really hot Warden. Jensen fell in love almost at first sight with Brian, but how do you protect your lover from things you can’t see?

Carol Lynne really nails it with mixing romance, and the sacrifices these men will make to appease the insane ghosts who just want their brand of justice. Love the character of Fisher, Jensen’s Boss and Best friend. I was surprised by the many twists and turns the story made and ended up enjoying every minute I spent reading this book.

I would recommend Ghosts Of Alcatraz just for the hot man love but I got to say it also kept me on the edge of my seat wondering if anyone would make it out alive! Can’t wait to see if Ms. Lynne will be bringing Fisher back for his own story…..
