It’s Halloween, and incubus Rafael is looking forward to a fun night out with his lover, demon-hunter Dominic. But Halloween can be a busy time of year for demon-hunters, and Rafael is not surprised when Dominic has to go to work instead.

Dominic and Rafael have been together for a long time, and Dominic thinks he knows just about everything there is to know about his sweet little twink of an incubus. But Dominic’s mission this evening does not go at all according to plan, and tonight he’s about to find out that sometimes, though you may think you know someone, you really don’t know them at all.

Review:

Dominic works for the Council as a high level demon hunter. His job is to keep demons from attacking humans and to take them out when they do. Rafael is his husband of thirty years and is a incubus, half angel and half demon. He’s not evil and is totally harmless.

Dominic gets a tip from one of his informants that demons are planning to make a human sacrifice. He takes backup to the warehouse where the sacrifice is supposed to take place and goes inside. He realizes too late that it is a trap, and captured by a large group of demons.

The leader of the demons reveals that he is Rafael’s father and that he is going to kill Dominic to hurt Rafael before he kills him. Rafael has secretly been following Dominic and before his father can kill Dominic, Rafael kills all of the demons with a blast of angel fire. It turns out that Rafael is a lot more powerful than he has led everyone to believe, but has been hiding it because he doesn’t want to be used a as weapon or be under someone else’s control.

I loved this story. The author has written a very unique tale that will keep you turning the page to find out what happened next. This is a very different kind of story with am end that will totally blow you away!
