Tristan Moreau loves his job as chief administrative officer and personal assistant to Webber Kincaid, President, Chairman, and CEO of Kincaid International. It would be the perfect job… if only he hadn’t fallen in love with his boss as well as the work. After two years, he’s still doing everything in his power to keep his feelings hidden—mostly because he wants to protect the reputation of his famous boss but also because he wants to keep his job.
Webber Kincaid has stayed in the closet, using his best friend and confidante as his beard. Everything in his life was working out just fine until he met Tristan Moreau. Within months, Tristan stole his heart and became his lifeline. But Webber knows the rules of the workplace better than anyone, so he’s kept his distance.
But two years is too long to wonder “what if?”—especially when business takes them to a private Caribbean island. When Tristan and Webber succumb to the tropical heat, their professionalism starts to backslide. It’s a seemingly impossible relationship, making a go at it under the paparazzi’s microscope. It may be the best—or the worst—business decision they ever made.
Review:
It’s been a long time since I’ve read such a romantic novel. An Unconventional Courtship is filled with enough love and romance to satisfy even the pickiest of readers. This is the first book I’ve read by Scotty Cade and it definitely won’t be my last. I loved Scotty’s descriptive writing as well as the author’s way of making me literally feel like I was swept up into the romance between Webber and Tristan as much as they were.
Since the blurb does an outstanding job of describing the story, I won’t rehash it. I will say that I loved both of the heroes and thought they were both well-written and likeable men. Both men are strong, intelligent and sexy. I liked how well they worked together, both as a team at work and as two lovers. Their friendship, respect and love for each other really made me totally fall for this couple and I loved every minute I spent reading their story.
Even though this is one of the sweetest, romantic books I’ve read in a long time, it also has some angst and a pretty fast-paced storyline. There is a villain that threatens the couple as well as their reputation and livelihood and honestly the story ended very happily, but it still left me with some unanswered questions about what was exactly going to happen to Webber’s business and so forth, so it in my opinion practically screams for a sequel. I honestly hope there is one because I loved these two men and since I adored reading about them, I’d love to read more about their relationship in the future. If you are looking for something fresh, romantic and just an all-around beautiful love story, then An Unconventional Courtship is definitely the book for you! Highly Recommended!
