Title: Dark Reign 1: Found
Author: Mychael Black
Publisher: Changeling Press LLC
A bleak future turns out to be the key to a forgotten past. Can a mysterious man help AJ remember who he really is?
AJ remembers nothing about life before he began working for the sadistic vampire Dalton Gray. When Dalton’s plans go awry, AJ is sure he’s as good as dead. Then a mystery hero shows up and offers AJ something he never expected: a past.
Okay, let me just go ahead and admit this here and now to you all. Back when I began reading MM erotic/erotica-Gay Fiction…boy that can go on and on depending on who you talk to right? Anyway, you get the point. The very first book of Mychael Black’s that I read was “Dark Needs.” I was instantly hooked and became an instant “fan gurl” of Mychael’s stories. Well most of them. I openly admit I’m not into the fantasy genre as much as some of my co-reviewers are, but we are a diverse people, so there’s nothing wrong with that. What I want to point out here is that Mychael once again met up to my expectations in his character development, plot structure, added some nice angst, with an added touch of hot loving between two awesome characters who captured me in just twenty-three pages. Now, to do that, that takes talent.
AJ, at the start of this story is being beaten to death by his boss and he’s left for dead, and sadly AJ is aware that he is dying until he wakes up lying on a bed in a hotel room, with a man who is by all outward appearances blind taking care of him. Their instant magnitude to one another is actually felt in the sentences, so if you’re a reader who NEEDS length to fully grasp the characters within the story, try this one just because Mychael does magic is so few words.
