That title makes me giggle. And it ties my tongue up too. Say it five times fast. Cute!
This is a mini-book about the two main characters from Salad on the Side by this author. Kyle Slidell and Tobias Rogan once again have something to share with us.
Christmas is coming, and Kyle loves the who thing of it. He loves the lights, the decorations, the spirit of it and he goes all out decorating his apartment for the special day. He spends hours on this task, and plans on surprising his lover and mate Tobias with his hard efforts. Only things don’t go as planned, not at all. Tobias sees the lights, the tree, the decorations and he grows very angry and leaves Kyle’s apartment in a not so nice manner. This of course leaves Kyle a bit lost and a lot upset. He debates going to his mate or staying at his own place, but love wins over and he goes to Tobias’ place and things don’t work out so well. Early the next day, Tobias is gone.
Apparently Tobias has a very difficult time around the holidays, and in this short story, we’re told of times past, and yes, they are heartbreaking. We find out why he is the way he is, and with Kyle’s strong willed determination to help his mate through the ghosts of his mate’s past, we get our happy ending.
All in all it’s a good story.
