Blurb:

Jake Owens, aggressive, physical, blunt and brave, is a football hero turned city cop. Nate Richardson, his best friend since before forever, is thoughtful, quiet, and kind, a brilliant doctor who has always known who he is and that Jake is the love of his life—and loyal, courageous, straight Jake has never had a clue.

But Jake has been nursing his own case of the unrequited, and he’s never been as straight as Nate assumes. Nate may think their passionate explosion is a fluke, a result of too much closeness for too long, but Jake is bound and determined to prove to him otherwise. For Jake, the question isn’t how they ended up in bed together… it’s how can he convince Nate that he wants and needs to stay there.
Can love conquer all?

Review:

Cardeno C’s newest novel Where He Ends and I Begin is the newest addition to the Home Series. I have read the others in this series and I am happy to say it did not disappointment me at all.

Jake and Nate have always been best friends. They were born on the same day and their mothers were best friends. Living next door to each other only help to create the bond they would have for a lifetime.

Growing up Jake was the protector. He was always watching out for Nate. Making sure that no one took advantage of his best friend. Jake was the star of the football teams in high school and college. This helped curb his aggressive nature.

Nate was a quiet and kind soul. Brilliant and driven he excels at math and science. He is the calm that is needed by Jake.

Together these two will go to college and then move to New York to pursue their dream jobs. They will be there for each other in every way with the exception of the ultimate love. Then one fateful day on vacation Jake will reach for Nate and things will never be the same.
Nate and Jake return from their vacation as a couple but the past is always in the way. Nate has a hard time believing that Jake can leave behind the women and the one night stands. Jake will do everything in his power to convince Nate that he is sincere that this is forever.

I loved this story even though it is hard to believe anyone is this perfect. This book made me want to believe. It is heartwarming and heartbreaking at times. I laughed and cried while reading this book.
