Hunky Alaskan dive master and charter boat captain Jackson Cameron is absolutely sure he’s straight until openly gay treasure hunter Dax Powers calls him and offers him the adventure of a lifetime: Dax and his sister Donatella have found the Anna Wyoming, a ship that went down during the 1889 gold rush on return from Skagway Island—very possibly carrying a fortune in gold.

But real treasure is never free, and this one comes with some heavily armed strings attached. Jack and Dax struggle to keep their small crew safe from a powerful threat while they fight against the attraction they feel for each other. Between the danger of the hunt, the risks in the dive, and the thrill of being lost in passion, Dax and Jack are going to have a hard time holding on to their treasure… and to each other!

I have only read one other book by Mr. Cade, but after reading Treasure of Love I am sure more of his books will show up on my TBR list. Readers should know that Treasure of Love is a sequel and although Jackson was only a secondary character in the first book, you will have a clearer understanding of the boat captain if you read Wings of Love first.

The characters are very engaging. Jackson’s sometimes gruff personality makes him the perfect partner for Daxston , who comes across a little too full of himself. Daxston is a treasure hunter whose last salvage expedition blew up in his face. Now he needs Jackson and his boat to get back on top again.

In many ways Treasure of Love is a gay for you story. While Daxston is openly gay, Jackson is actually straight. Watching these two clash will leave you wondering how the author plans to even bring them together. The presence of Jackson’s brother-in-law Mac, and his partner Brad don’t help the men in their struggle either. While it does take some time, Jackson and Daxston finally find their way together in a way that the readers are sure to enjoy. While the author drops a few hints that there is more to the treasure the men are searching for, the real secret in the end is sure to surprise everyone.

I can’t wait to see what Mr. Cade will bring out for the readers next.
