Blurb:

Kian ap Rhys is a warlock, a protector and wielder of The Fire. This fire shines purest in a warlock and is coveted by the Nameless. When his uncle’s Fire is stolen, Kian vows vengeance and seeks the aid of Regan Campbell.

As a hunter of the supernatural predators Regan is the perfect choice to aid Kian on his quest, but Regan is suspicious of the warlock and unwilling to help. It isn’t until their lives are endangered by The Nameless and all choice has been stripped away that they realize they must trust one another or be destroyed.

Review:

Kian is out to get the man responsible for the death of his uncle. In order to do that he will have to break the laws of his people and hope he can find his Hunter on the other side.

Kian is the first book in the author’s Fire Trilogy series. This fast paced novella starts the trilogy off perfectly. As Kian begins the process of crossing over from his world into ours you know by the reaction of his best friend that what Kian is doing will have dire consequences. Kian has a short period of time to accomplish his objective and it is only with Regan’s help that he can succeed. Once the two meet the story really takes off. Between Kian’s need to find Danio chwiwgi, and Regan’s need to continue his families legacy of hunting down The Nameless, the men don’t have time to come to terms with the attraction between them. Yet, that does not keep them from making love, which only makes things more difficult for Kian. Between the loving, and the action, there is a lot going on in this novella to keep the reader entertained. The author gives just enough background on Kian and his world to make sure the reader returns for more and I for one can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.
