Becoming the alpha of one’s wolf pack—brutal. Keeping the title and your mate alive all at the same time—living hell.
Evin KinKaid has it all: the title of alpha of the KinKaid wolf shifter pack and the man he loves, his mate, Mason Thorne II in his bed. But across territorial lines, it seems another pack is conspiring to see just how badly he wants to keep them both. So when the Gregorson pack tests its boundaries, leaving Evin to find his home ransacked and his mate nowhere to be found, the rival shifters learn what it’s like to gain the KinKaid’s alpha’s full attention
This is a short fast peak into Evin and Mason’s world now that Evin is the alpha of the KinKaid pack and Mason is his true mate. In just thirty pages Jessica had me on edge, once again. Imagine an alpha wolf, then imagine that wolf without it’s mate. You’ll have Evin and he’s one pissed off wolf when he arrives home to find it ransacked and his mate missing. Then add members of a rival pack into the mix and we have issues.
When I finished this book I set my reader aside and the first thought that came to mind was one I had had in the past with another authors works. “The author is teasing us! There’s more to come I just know there is.” Jessica left things hanging a bit at the end of this story but she didn’t do it to be mean, she did it because there’s another KinKaid story coming up! We’re getting more of Evin and Mason and Rosa, and all of them. And I’m willing to bet all those lose ends in this story will be tied up so prettily. All we have here is a day in the life of. And I’m so happy I was invited in to spend some time with these amazing men!
