Title: Stud to Go
Author: Elizabeth Coldwell
Publisher: Xcite Books
Pages: 107
Characters: Ben
POV: 1st
Sub-Genre: Contemporary
Kisses: 3
Blurb:
Ben’s broke. The firm he’d been working for in Amsterdam has gone bust, and his employment options are limited, to say the least. But quite how has he found himself working for an escort service that makes him sound more like a takeaway pizza than a hot date? And what will he do when his feelings for his favourite client – urbane, successful photographer Jeroen Storm – go beyond a pure business arrangement?
Review:
The title pretty much tells you what you’re in for. Stud to Go is about a young man, early twenties living in Amsterdam who suddenly finds himself without a job. Ben is pretty laid back, he’s very smart, he’s an IT guy, and broke all because the company he left England to work for went under, just…overnight.
He’s sitting by himself in a cafe, savoring a cold cup of coffee watching people and wondering what he should do to cover next months rent when he’s approached by a nice looking man and is offered a job as a male escort. With little choices he accepts and soon finds himself in demand. His first “date” is with a successful photographer named Jeroen Storm.
After that date, he has a few others and he can’t seem to stop thinking about Jeroen, who has a rocky past with his own love life.
This is a fast read, lots of hot sex, the author describes the other “dates” very well and ties it all up very neatly. I would have liked ot see more of Jeroen and Ben as a couple though. This is a HEA title so dig in.

Title: Layover
Author: Elizabeth Coldwell
Publisher: X-cite
Pages: 67
Characters: Cal, Justin
POV: 3rd
Sub-Genre: Contemporary
Kisses: 4
Blurb:
A gay erotic novella by best-selling author Elizabeth Coldwell. Flight attendant, Cal, knows he’s dropped lucky, spending a 26-hour layover at a luxury resort on the beautiful island of Aruba. And that’s before he meets Justin, the gorgeous and deliciously kinky resort manager. So when a tropical storm grounds the plane, and lets him spend more time in Justin’s company, he’s sure he’s truly found paradise. But will his new-found happiness be snatched away when the time comes to return to England?
Review:
If you’re looking for a cute erotic story, then you’ve come to the right review. Layover is just that. A cute short story about flight attendant Cal and what happens to him on a layover in Aruba, of all places.
The story begins with the crew in the air and Cal watching two young lovers having a time of things in their seats near the back of the plane. Fantasies fill Cal’s head making things a tad-bit uncomfortable for him or should I say how his uniform fits him in a certain area. Something he can’t take of until the plane is set down and he is alone in his room at a resort where the crew is spending their layover.
There’s a colorful cast of characters who help to bring this story to life and one of those being Justin, the manager of the resort who Cal takes a liking to very quickly. So much so that their first night they more or less find love. The second night they find themselves victims of a hurricane and the next we see a bit of D/s action going on with the two. The author went into great description of the resort, of the beach, even a few of the locals Cal met while with Justin.
Overall a cute story with saucy bits and pieces. Even a masseuse who delivers happy endings. The ending is a HFN, so if you’re looking for HEA, this isn’t it. Or just perhaps the author is hard at work on their next adventure?

Title: Stranded in Paradise

Publisher: Xcite Books
Characters: Alfie Crane, Ray Rendell
Pages: 64
POV: 3rd
Setting: Paradise, Nebraska
Sub-Genre: BDSM
Book Cover Rating: 5
Kisses: 4
Blurb:
Alfie Crane accepts a lift from Boston to San Francisco from fellow college student Brad as he’s too broke to take the bus. When they argue, he finds himself being thrown out of the car with only his wallet and the clothes he stands up in. After walking for miles, he reaches the tiny town of Paradise, Nebraska. He is desperate for help, and is taken in by diner owner Ray Rendell, who’s looking for a new bus boy. Ray has always hidden his true sexuality, afraid of the reaction of family and townsfolk alike, but he’s strongly attracted to the cute young Englishman. Romance begins to blossom between the two as Alfie settles in to the slow, easy pace of small-town life. When Ray is threatened in a hold-up, Alfie realises just how much the older man means to him. But can they really find paradise together?
Review:
Stranded in Paradise is a cute little story about a young college student who is bound and determined to take his summer vacation in San Francisco. However, he has one small problem. He’s very low on money and has no way to get there so when he sees an ad from fellow college student Brad that he’s looking for someone to split the cost of gas, Alfie jumps on the chance.
However, almost immediately Alfie and Brad begin fighting and before we know it, Brad forces Alfie out of the car in the middle of nowhere Nebraska with nothing but the clothes on his back. Alfie is forced to walk several miles before he encounters a small town in Nebraska named Paradise. Just the fact that it’s a town at all surprises the very tired, very hungry, Alfie and he knocks at the first place he comes to for help.
The only diner in the town is owned by in the closet Ray Rendell and this is where Alfie ends up, just begging for a place to sit and grab a drink of water, and a phone to call Brad. What he gets is so much more.
What follows is a story that shows us love can happen anywhere, anytime, anyplace, Nebraska. There is some light D/s action going on, nothing painful…Alfie likes to be ordered about and restrained. The author did a good job with it. Solid plot, solid characters, and a pleasant story.

POV: 1st
Setting: Contemporary
Sub-Genre: Erotica/BDSM
Book Cover Rating: 4
Kisses: 4

When Sean Bradley gets an invitation to Dante’s, the most exclusive gay club in town, he doesn’t realise it will change his life for ever. This is no ordinary club, and its world of decadent delights is designed to pair wealthy dominant men with cute young submissives. The club’s owner, Dante Capello, is immediately taken with Sean, and sets about leading him into a world of BDSM pleasures, where he will learn how to receive the strictest of punishments and obey without question. But though Dante is a demanding master, he has a reputation for keeping his emotional distance from the boys who submit to him and discarding them after a weekend in his servitude. How far is Sean prepared to go to truly become his?
Review:
His is a story about a young man who received an invitation to Dante’s, the most exclusive gay club in town. His friend got it for him, telling him he needed to get out more, experience fun. Well, what Sean experiences is most definitely that.
Almost immediately he is approached by Dante himself and he’s taken to a play room for a night of fun, only he had no idea what was in store for him. We follow along a path of BDSM in all its glory with the two characters. Dante is all Dom, every little thing about him, from the way he walks and talks to the way he dresses and undresses. Sean is the submissive who completes this Dom in ways neither would have imagined.

Review:
Ridden Hard is one man’s journey into the world of acting and discovering what having a Master who not only shows his skills as a horse trainer but that of a human one as well. Jamie Desmond tells this tale of how he told one little white lie to gain a role in a movie. The script calls for the actor to ride a horse while engaged in sword fights and such. Jamie didn’t think much of that lie, until he was shipped to the set and asked to ride his horse.
Andrej is the Master of horses, and he shows Jamie he is also a Master of BDSM. Jamie is instructed by Andrej to come to the stable for private lessons. What he gets is more than just riding lessons, he learns that the older man is a Master of men and he soon realizes that being told what to do, how to do it, and being spanked is right up his alley.
