Lucas just wants to get through the college semester with decent grades.
When his best friend Trevor first shows him a book of spells, he doesn’t believe in demons.
But when the two decide to try out a summoning spell for fun, Lucas gets much more than he bargained for in the form of a sexy, powerful demon who must do his bidding.
I love Jack Greene’s books. I’ve read all of his books and enjoyed every one of them. Mr. Greene has given me many hours of pure unadulterated pleasure with his stories. They are short, fun, sexy and very flirty to read, so I know when I’m in the mood for a hot and steamy read I’ll reach for Mr. Greene’s books time and time again.
Lucas is a struggling college student who spends most of his spare time with his best friend Trevor. One night, Trevor brings Lucas an old book of spells that he’s found in a bookstore and wants to try and conjure up a demon. Lucas isn’t too sure about this, but finally his curiosity overcomes any concerns he might have and so they two young men pick a spell out of the book at random and prepare to chant the spell. They draw a big circle in the middle of Lucas’s floor and start reciting the spell. Since some of the words are over Trevor’s head, Lucas ends up doing the chant and somehow ends up in the middle of the circle with a gorgeous demon.
Even though Lucas knows he should be frightened, he’s not. The demon looks exactly like his dream man and his surprisingly gentle nature and sexy disposition calms Lucas’s fears and reservations he has about him. After much coaxing Lucas finds out that the demon’s name is Corson and will grant any wish that Lucas has. Although Lucas is thrilled with the idea of having anything he wants, he wants Corson more. And as the two heroes start to get to know each other and the sexual tension and chemistry become even hotter between them, Lucas soon realizes that he’s done the unthinkable…he’s fallen in love with a demon.
Since I don’t want to spoil the book, I’ll stop my description of the story there. I thought the immediate bond and sizzling chemistry between Lucas and Corson was nothing short of H-O-T. I loved how they quickly were able to accept each other and give into the passion and friendship between them. Both heroes are likeable men and so much fun to read. Even though Corson is a demon, he’s not evil, but let me tell you he IS very sexy and was a perfect match for Lucas. Lucas is your typical college student. He’s smart and a little naïve, but he’s ready to face the world…especially if he can keep his demon lover by his side.
I really enjoyed the lightness this story has. Even though you would think it would be bogged down with conflict and angst, there really isn’t much angst here. It’s just a light-hearted, forbidden love story between two heroes with erotic, sexy scenes and pure romance. There is also an insta-love factor in this book. Since I personally believe in love at first sight and since I think Mr. Green did a great job with the intense chemistry between the two heroes, I liked it. In my opinion, Demon Love is the perfect guilty pleasure on a cold afternoon day. My only gripe about the book is…it was too short! As with other books by Mr. Green this story left me wanting more. Highly Recommended!
