Molten. The energy source of the future. Or so scientists thought — until the sentient liquid metal began fighting back.
Dolan and his Molten lover, Zian, are on a mission — collect the bits of Molten that have been blown all over the galaxy. They find more than they bargained for. With the help of a pair of sentient trees, Dolan and Zian must find a way to rescue the dwarf planet Harmony, which is made almost entirely from Molten, and tow it home.
But Molten isn’t the only thing they find. Can they rescue the younglings and return them to the Molten home world without blowing up this universe — or their relationship?
Review:
Dolan Exeter is a human male in love with Zian, a member of a race of liquid sentient metal called the Molten. Long ago the home planet of the Molten was blown apart and the living pieces were ejected all over the universe.
Dylan and Cian are on a mission to retrieve all of these fragments and bring them back to the new home world. They follow clues to the small world of Harmony, a peaceful retreat for many species from the rest of the universe. Turns out that the entire planet is made of Molten fragments and they have to figure out a way to bring back the entire world without killing anyone who is on the planet.
I really like this story. The combination of exotic lifeforms, beautiful worlds, and alien passion make this a quick and different kind of tale.
