With his lovers Gabriel and Lazarus, Jesse Eldridge traverses the shadowy realm of Abaddon, a world of demons and gods, in pursuit of Hiil, the rogue god of a neighboring world. Hiil fully intends on bringing all of Abaddon to its knees, but he doesn’t realize that Gabriel has a secret weapon in the coming war: Jesse. As a vampire/elemental crossbreed, Jesse possesses powers surpassing those of both his lovers. There’s little time for him to come into his full abilities, however, and it’s going to take a miracle if he and his lovers are to survive.
Review:
This is the third story and I believe the last in the Spirits of Abaddon series. At forty-two pages Mychael brings the three lovers once again to beat the bad guys at their own game, he adds the magic that makes the trio work as a team and as lovers.
If you recall in the first book, we all thought Lazarus was the bad guy, but in this one it is shown that he’s really a doll. He’s become my favorite of the three and that Gabriel is a trickster, he’s a lot more powerful than we were led to believe, and Jesse, our vamp crossbreed, is as awesome as he has been since book one. I really loved how Mychael tied the story up, the amazing world he sets us in, the way he does this in the amount of pages truly made it a worthwhile read.
