Review:
I have to say up front that the author really let loose with the characters in this story. I fell in love with Cliff and Falen right off the bat. Cliff has a funny sense of humor, if not a tad bit sarcastic on the enjoyable chuckling side of things. I found myself laughing most of the way through it over Cliff and his thoughts.
In this story, Cliff is now on earth and working for the same company his brother Matt works for, however Matt and his lover are off tracking down a runner, leaving Cliff to babysit Scruffy and picking up the slack for Matt with their snaky boss. Oh man, you will love the dialog with Cliff and his boss, and then the conversation with Falen. It’s all very well done and guaranteed to bring a few laughs.
Cliff and Falen are on the hunt for the person who is responsible for ripping people off of their bond money being returned to them. There’s more going on here than “just” a set up, a whole lot more. I really had a good time reading this one. I think Cliff should be in entertainment.
I read the first book prior to this one, so that I could familiarize myself with the writer and the characters, and I have to say, to me, this one is the better of the two. The writer loosened up a bit, added more character to the characters, the thoughts were freer or perhaps a bit more easy flowing.
Give it a shot and let me know what you think.
