The world has become a harsh, bleak place. Men seek work where it’s needed. The only safety working in the outer reaches is if one has the protection of a crew. Curt doesn’t; he’s solo.
When he inadvertently catches the gaze of a man he’s desired from the first moment he saw him, he knows he risks abuse or even death. That’s the best he can hope for, surely? But Curt’s human — he needs sex. Being tied up makes for some very curt courting, but to Curt’s surprise, it might well end in love.
Review:
Curt Courting is a flirty, sexy quick read for those who crave a steamy encounter between two hot heroes. Ms. Bidwell definitely knows how to write sizzling sex with an intensity of passion, mixed in with a little bit of naughtiness between the two characters. Set in the future, this short story shows the desperation and desolation the human race is going through.
Trust and true friendship is something that is hard to come by, often leaving many people vulnerable to getting hurt or worse. I thought Curt’s fear and loneliness was very well written. I also enjoyed watching Schuyler’s dominance over Curt and seeing them start what looked to be an interesting and loving relationship in such a bleak place. I do wish the book had been longer. I would have enjoyed watching Curt and Schuyler really developing something special between them, but I still enjoyed this hot, unique short story and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.
