Kevin Marks escapes to the north woods to reignite his passion for photography and women. But the only flame he seems able to spark is for his latest photography subject, Teak Hildalgo, and Kevin’s never been in a man’s arms before.
Teak, the raven-haired, photographer’s dream come true, is hell bent on capturing Kevin’s heart. He takes Kevin, body and soul, on a romantic, sexual journey previously lived only in Kevin’s fantasies. And no dream was ever this good, no truth this undeniable.
Will Kevin ever be the same? When the camera’s put away, will Teak live up to his name?
Review:
Kevin takes a vacation to the north woods to clear his head of his sexual fantasies. While he is having sex with his girlfriend he has to fantasize that she is a man in order to achieve orgasm. He thinks that the fresh air and wilderness will clear his focus, but little does he know that he is about to meet the man of his dreams.
Teak has been in Wescott for 3 years now, and he cannot wait for the economy to improve so he can return to Florida. That is until he meets Kevin in town one day. Teak senses that Kevin is drawn to him and he is anxious to find out if there is anything more there. When Kevin offers to photograph Teak in nature’s surroundings he cannot help but accept.
Kevin and Teak must overcome each of their own fears in order to give this new love an opportunity to grow. Kevin must decide how to handle ending his relationship with his girlfriend so he can move forward. Teak has to deal with his fears over how a failed relationship ended in order to fully give this new one a fighting chance. Together they will face many obstacles while finding their way.
Margie Church’s Hard as Teak is a great story and I am hoping she continues to write more m/m novels. All of the elements and the secondary characters make it a great read.

Vonda, thank you so much for this strong endorsement. I had no idea you’d written this until my Google alert sent it. I am writing Drew’s story as we speak and hope it’ll be out early in 2012. Thanks again.
