Review:
From the start, The Demon He Knows captivated me with its interesting blurb, then I began reading it and was caught in its web of wow. I could not help but to get lost in this story, reading it almost in one sitting. (family pulled me away) Zavier, is a Demon who works as a soul collector, he became one when he sold his own soul to save the love of his life, Ryan in the 70’s. Ryan had a terrible brain tumor and Zavier knew he couldn’t go on without him, so instead of living without the man he loved, he signed on the dotted line and bought them ten years, for that is the life of soul seller. Ten years.
Jump fifty years into the future and Zavier is now collecting those souls and is called upon for another job, only when he gets there something isn’t right. He sees the green eyes of the man he lost his heart to so long ago and knew immediately who he was. His Ryan.
Ryan was now the person ready to sell his soul to save his sisters life. But when he meets the soul collector he realizes something is at play and this is not just an ordinary Demon. Zavier is so much more and when they kiss memories, and feelings all flood back. Contracts are made to be broken, Demons are made to be likeable, love is meant to be had, and this book certainly gives all of this to you and more. Loved the plot, the different names from Heaven and Hell, now called, Corporate South (Hell) and Corporate North (Heaven). All of the characters have been well thought out, the plot is solid, and there’s even a hint of another tale surrounding two other characters. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to see what else this author comes up with.
