Blurb:

Come watch Amber, whose online adventures have left her panting and ready. Or maybe you’d rather play with Jason, a sexy writer who has finally figured out the plotline of his life revolves around his hot assistant, Paul. And don’t forget Chase, the sexy transgender man heading the right way for some steamy sex with fellow ftm Toby. These are just three of your options. You’ve got thirteen playmates at your disposal in these seven stories—all guaranteed to rev your engine and keep it running. All. Night. Long.

Stories Include:

Rub-a-Dub-Dub
An online search for innocent romance stories turns into an eye-opening adventure in the world of smut. By the time Amber gets home, she’s hot, horny, and ready to play…with herself!

Writer’s Assistant
Paul loves his job as Jason’s writing assistant, and when Jason suggests they take their relationship to the next level, Paul is more than willing!

Dylan’s Promise
Dylan knows about Alex’s past—about the abusive relationship he ran from. But there’s more to the story, and the appearance of a man who looks like Alex’s ex brings up old memories that Alex can’t deal with alone. Fortunately for him, he has Dylan.

Torn Apart
After a massive natural disaster all but destroys the planet Torn, William, a human soldier, begins a desperate search for his native lover, Intugu. Will the two be reunited, or will William’s dreams end at a pile of rubble?

Intrastate Love Song
Toby and Chase met at a transgender pride retreat a year ago, and although the sparks flew right away, the timing was all wrong. Now they’re reunited, living in the same town, and ready to date. That is, once they get that awkward first-time hot, steamy sex out of the way!

Catching Up With Kevin
What does transgender Anthony do when a night of hanging out with his transvestite best friend, Kevin, turns into Kevin revealing his love? Why, Anthony makes up for lost time, of course!

Sock it to Him
Eric is sick to death of watching Patrick get treated like crap by one asshole after another. But when the biggest asshole of them all, Donald, goes too far, Eric ends up driving Patrick to the local ER. Eric sets out to convince Patrick that there are better men to date—namely him—with help from an unexpected source: a sock monkey.

Review:

Simply Smut is an anthology that has a little bit of something for everyone. This is a book that’s not only a celebration of the physical and emotional aspects of sex, but is also a celebration of sexuality itself. It’s a collection of stories that pays tribute to our diversity, to our individuality, and to the fact that we, as humans, regardless of whatever labels society has insisted upon assigning to us, share the basic and fundamental need to love and to be loved, to feel and to experience physical intimacy and pleasure, whether it’s alone in a bathtub, like Amber in Rub-a-Dub-Dub, or, as in the other stories in the collection, is with the one other person in the world who makes you feel whole and needed.

At 58 pages in its entirety, obviously none of these seven stories is incredibly long, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t entirely satisfying. They each run the emotional gamut, from lighthearted and sexy, as in the life imitates art (or is that art imitates life?) story Writer’s Assistant, in which author Jason finally decides that reality is far better than fiction when it comes to his assistant, Paul; to the heartbreaking, as in Dylan’s Promise, which touches upon the post-traumatic effects of surviving an abusive relationship; to the uplifting, as in Intrastate Love Song, which celebrates the finding of that one special person who makes life just that much better for him being in it.

Gay, lesbian, bi, queer, intersex, transgender, straight—whatever word one uses to describe his/her sexuality—there’s one thing we all have in common, and DC Juris portrays it beautifully in each of his seven stories: sex and love are universal concepts that don’t discriminate based on gender. Sounds simple. Throw in a little smut and you’ve got an all around delicious read.
